About the Project

As we head into the third year off the Pandemic, Mahler’s often chaotic, frequently sublime music fits our times.  As Mahler made distinctive use of French horns, I’m drawn to these passages as I’ve taken up studying the horn after a hiatus of several decades.  The horn also fits our times,  as it can  be sweet as well as mellow, emphasizing various rhythms in one symphony.
